Item 8.01Other Events.
On July 11, 2022, PPG Industries, Inc. (the “Company”) issued the following statement from Michael H. McGarry, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, on the July 10, 2022 passing of Steven A. Davis, a member of the Company's Board of Directors. Mr. Davis had served as a director of the Company since 2019.

“We are deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Steven A. Davis, who has served as a member of PPG’s Board of Directors since 2019. Our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time are with his wife Lynnda and their three daughters. Steve has been a respected and trusted member of PPG’s Board. His invaluable expertise and leadership has had a dynamic impact on our organization. Steve’s involvement also extended deep into our organization through our Black Employee Network and other employee resource networks, and he participated in a variety of events and global webcasts involving our employees. His passion to help others grow and succeed made a positive impact throughout our organization and went well beyond his Board role. This is a sad day for all of us at PPG and we will greatly miss his leadership and friendship.”
