Other Events.
 
On February 21, 2025, the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of South Plains Financial, Inc. (the “Company”) approved a new stock repurchase program for up to $15.0 million of the outstanding shares of the Company’s common stock (the “Stock Repurchase Program”).  The Stock Repurchase Program will conclude on February 21, 2026, subject to the earlier termination or extension of the Stock Repurchase Program by the Board or the $15.0 million designated for the Stock Repurchase Program are depleted.
 
A copy of the Company’s press release announcing the Stock Repurchase Program is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
