ITEM 1. SECURITY AND ISSUER.
This Statement on Schedule 13D relates to the common stock, par value $0.001 per share (the “Shares”), of SmartData Corporation, a Nevada Corporation (the "Issuer"), and is being filed by S. Matthew Schultz (the “Reporting Person”). The Issuer's current principal executive offices are located at 2391 South 1560 West Woods Cross, Utah 84087.
ITEM 2. IDENTITY AND BACKGROUND
(a) through (c) and (f). This Statement is being filed by S. Matthew Schultz, a United States citizen (the “Reporting Person”). The business address of the Reporting Person is 2391 South 1560 West Woods Cross, Utah 84087. S. Matthew Schultz is currently the Chief Financial Officer and Director of SmartData Corporation.
(d) and (e). During the previous five (5) years, the Reporting Person (i) has not been convicted in any criminal proceeding (excluding traffic violations or similar misdemeanors) and (ii) has not been party to a civil proceeding of any of a judicial or administrative body of competent jurisdiction such that, as a result of such proceeding, was or is subject to a judgment, decree or final order enjoining future violations of, or prohibiting or mandating activity subject to, federal or state securities laws or finding any violation with respect to such laws.
ITEM 3. SOURCE AND AMOUNT OF FUNDS OR OTHER CONSIDERATION.
On March 13, 2014, the Reporting Person was appointed to serve as the Chief Executive Officer and as a Director of the Issuer. As consideration for his appointment, the Reporting Person received 1,500,000 shares of the Issuer's common stock valued at $0.001 per share.
On March 25, 2014, SMS Management Services, LLC ("SMS"), an entity approximately 66% controlled by the Reporting Person and Bruce Lybbert, a Director of the Issuer, entered into an Asset and Intellectual Property Purchase Agreement ("Purchase Agreement"). Pursuant to the Purchase Agreement, SMS sold to the Issuer: (i) all Intellectual Property rights, title and interest in Patent # 8,105,401 'Parallel Path, Downdraft Gasifier Apparatus and Method' (ii) all Intellectual Property rights, title and interest in Patent # 8,518,133 'Parallel Path, Downdraft Gasifier Apparatus and Method' and (iii) all of the Property rights, title and interest in a 32 inch Downdraft Gasifier. In exchange, Issuer agreed to issue 715,320 shares of $0.001 par value common stock to SMS.
ITEM 4. PURPOSE OF TRANSACTION
The purpose of this Schedule 13D is to report the Beneficial Ownership by the Reporting Person of 2,215,320 shares or 38.17% of the Issuer’s issued and outstanding common stock as of November 12, 2014, as explained in Item 5 below.
Except as provided below, the Reporting Person does not have any current plans or proposals which would relate to or would result in:
(a) | the acquisition by any person of additional securities of the Issuer, or the disposition of securities of the Issuer; |
(b) | any extraordinary corporate transaction, such as a merger, reorganization or liquidation, involving the Issuer or any of its subsidiaries; |
(c) | a sale or transfer of a material amount of the assets of the Issuer or any of its subsidiaries; |
(d) | any change in the present board of directors or management of the Issuer, including any plans or proposals to change the number or term of directors or to fill any existing vacancies on the board; |
(e) | any material change in the present capitalization or dividend policy of the Issuer; |

(f) | any other material change in the Issuer's business or corporate structure including, but not limited to, if the Issuer is a registered closed-end investment company, any plans or proposals to make any changes in its investment policy for which a vote is required by Section 13 of the Investment Company Act of 1940; |
(g) | changes in the Issuer's charter, bylaws or instruments corresponding thereto or other actions which may impede acquisition of control of the Issuer by any person; |
(h) | causing a class of securities of the Issuer to be delisted from a national securities exchange or to cease to be authorized to be quoted in an inter-dealer quotation system of a registered national securities association; |
(i) | a class of equity securities of the Issuer becoming eligible for termination of registration pursuant to Section 12(g)(4) of the Act; or |
(j) | any action similar to any of those enumerated above. |
ITEM 5. INTEREST IN SECURITIES OF THE ISSUER.
(a) | The Reporting Person is currently the beneficial owner of 2,215,320 shares of Common Stock of the Issuer, representing approximately 38.17% of the Issuer's common stock (based upon 5,803,305 outstanding shares of common stock as of November 12, 2014.) |

Other than as described in this Schedule 13D, the Reporting Person has no contracts, arrangements, understandings or relationships with any other person with respect to any securities of the Issuer.
